Ichizo Sato Shelved by Injury Thursday, September 19th, 2024 The Coronado Phantoms were informed today by team doctors that shortstop Ichizo Sato sustained a ruptured achilles tendon in a recent game against the Fort Worth Cats and will not play for 7 months. Sato was hurt running the bases. This season Sato has hit at a .303 clip with 22 RBIs, 2 home runs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 72 games. |
