Baristas Rodríguez Suffers Injury Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 The Silver Lake Baristas will have to make do without Rafael Rodríguez for 13 months. He suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in the game today against the El Paso Diablos. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the closer. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." For the year Rodríguez has no saves. In 25 relief appearances he has hurled 18.1 innings, fanned 23 and issued 9 walks with a 2-1 record. The Silver Lake reliever has recorded a 5.40 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .250 when he is on the hill. |
