Yoritomo Ine Sidelined for 13 Months Sunday, September 8th, 2024 "I'm frustrated right now," said Detroit starting pitcher Yoritomo Ine. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Death Stars, that's where he will be spending 13 months. Ine suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in today's game against Minneapolis while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." This year Ine has made 10 starts, thrown 77 innings, fanned 46 batters and walked 35. His won-lost record is 2-6 with a 6.31 ERA. |
