Takeuchi Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 Hidekazu Takeuchi collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Detroit Death Stars, beat Indian Wells 3-2. After the ballgame, Takeuchi quipped to a BNN reporter, "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball. I'm pretty excited how things are clicking." Hidekazu Takeuchi struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.
