Ellis on Fire, 6-for-7 Against El Paso Sunday, August 11th, 2024 The Astoria Argonauts upended the El Paso Diablos at Hell Stadium today in large part to second baseman Zak Ellis, who had a smashing day with the bat -- he racked up 6 hits in 7 at-bats -- and help propel the Argonauts to a 23-8 victory. Zak Ellis singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the season, Ellis is hitting at a .405 clip with 2 home runs, 41 RBIs and has scored 53 runs. He has 98 hits, 26 walks and a .462 on-base percentage. |
