5-Hit Blitz by Indian Wells's Orozco Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 It was high-5 day at Horseman Field, at least for Sergio Orozco of the Indian Wells Aeropostales. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Amarillo Horseman. Orozco smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 9-5 win. His manager said, "Sergio was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Sergio Orozco hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Graham Hardingham in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season in 83 games Orozco is batting .359 with 17 home runs, 72 RBIs and has scored 53 times. |
