Sathiamoorthy Socks it to Banditos, Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 It was a sensational day at the plate for Ekansa Sathiamoorthy as he led the charge to a 13-4 win over the Banditos. The Coronado catcher was pure misery for the Acapulco pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Banditos told BNN reporters after the game, "Sathiamoorthy put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Ekansa Sathiamoorthy singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Aidan Uren in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. In 90 games this season Sathiamoorthy has batted at a .268 pace with 96 hits and 10 home runs. |
