Rowdy Players Suspended by League Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 It was quite a row yesterday at The Death Star. The Death Stars Tony De La Garza and the Canadians Prabodh Nimbalkar backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only De La Garza and Nimbalkar were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 9-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. So far this season De La Garza has hit .232 with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and and scored 54 times. In 22 starts this season Nimbalkar has gathered 7 wins while suffering 10 losses. He has pitched 126 innings, allowed 121 hits, struck out 128 and has a 5.00 ERA. |
