Ortíz's Strong Week Earns KSL Trophy Monday, July 15th, 2024 20-year-old Juan Ortíz made a few South Bay headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Kade Stenson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 17 at-bats to put up a .588 average. Ortíz collected 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In his season totals, Ortíz has 15 home runs, .242 BA, .364 OBP, 40 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has played in 69 games. |
