Pasadena's Ortíz Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Thursday, July 4th, 2024 5 hits in 6 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Manuel Ortíz of the Pasadena Bumblebees had a sensational game against Reno at House of Pain. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 6-4 shellacking of the Raiders. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Manuel Ortíz singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 11th and hit a two-run single in the 12th. This year Ortíz is hitting .301 with 3 home runs. |
