Lovell Powers 3 HR Against South Bay Monday, July 1st, 2024 Joe Lovell was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the Acapulco 7-6 triumph over South Bay, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands. Nobody who was at Underdogs Ballpark will forget this home run outburst anytime soon. The Acapulco left fielder went 3-for-5, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. He told the press corps after his three home run binge, "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight. I can't wait until tomorrow's game. I really feel good at the plate." Joe Lovell hit a solo-shot off Adhipa Vemireddy in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Adhipa Vemireddy in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Koryusai Yamamoto in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and walked in the 10th. Thus far this year Lovell is batting .244 with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
