Halil Earns KSL's Best Pitcher Honor Monday, July 1st, 2024 There's something about a young rookie winning the Kade Stenson League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Nafiz Halil, a 24-year-old starter for the Fort Worth Cats. In June, he topped off the month with a 4-2 mark and 1.85 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 34 innings, fanned 20 and held opposing teams to a .220 average. This season Halil has worked 87 innings with 61 strikeouts en route to a 8-4 record and a 3.52 ERA. |
