Baristas Patey Smacks 5 Hits Monday, June 24th, 2024 It was a sensational day at the plate for Tristan Patey, but a letdown as well as the Baristas dropped the game 13-10 to the Aztecs. Nonetheless the Silver Lake first baseman was pure misery for the Mexico City pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win. That's the important thing," Patey said. The manager of the Aztecs told BNN reporters after the game, "Patey put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw him some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Tristan Patey hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Patey has hit at a .299 clip and produced 24 RBI, 4 home runs and 35 runs. |
