5-Hit Blitz by Swani Sunday, June 16th, 2024 Silver Lake second baseman Avirama Swani could do no wrong in today's 18-11 win over the Banditos as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Banditos said to the press corps after the game. Swani agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Avirama Swani hit a two-run home run off Yoriyuki Kichida in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Swani is currently hitting at a .270 pace with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs. |
