Jurgens Sidelined for 8 Months
Tuesday, June 11th, 2024
Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Billings Mustangs, Bombers starting pitcher Loeck Jurgens was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 8 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Bronx skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow.
To date this year, Jurgens shows a 4-6 record, 14 starts, 74 innings, 63 strikeouts and a 4.86 ERA.
