Comelay 5-for-5 for Bumblebees Sunday, June 9th, 2024 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Michael Comelay -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at The Hole and paced the Bumblebees to a 16-11 win over the Minneapolis Freeze. After his dynamite batting performance the Pasadena third baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Michael Comelay hit a solo-shot off Drstasara Sahni in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Tim Dougan in the 7th and doubled in the 8th. So far this year Comelay has 11 home runs and a .306 batting average. |
