Aeropostales Uchida Out of Action Monday, May 27th, 2024 The Indian Wells Aeropostales learned that Katsumi Uchida is likely to be out for 4 months after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Coronado Phantoms. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn labrum. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Indian Wells manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Katsumi is back in action." In 35 games this season Uchida has compiled a .347 batting average with 41 hits and 6 home runs. He has also scored 27 times and knocked in 26 runs. |
