Hong on a Hot Streak, BCL Player of the Week Monday, May 27th, 2024 23-year-old Sang-hyun Hong made a few Reno headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Hong collected 1 home run, 5 RBIs and scored 8 runs. This season Hong is batting .289 with 35 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 25 times and has 11 RBI. |
