Wells Goes on Rampage Against Aeropostales Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 The Mustangs tripped up the Aeropostales 12-9 today, led by Matt Wells, their 28-year-old first baseman. He tagged Indian Wells pitching for 5 hits, making life miserable for them the entire game. Matt Wells doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Daisuke Nakanishi in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, singled in the 10th and doubled in the 13th. This year Wells is hitting .252 with 4 home runs and 20 RBIs in 34 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .293 with 8 walks and 16 runs scored. |
