Miller Hitless, Stopped by Banditos
Saturday, April 27th, 2024
Paul Miller, third baseman for the Coronado Phantoms, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Acapulco Banditos. Not only had they stopped his 24-game hitting streak, they had beaten Coronado 4-1, too.
Speaking with the media after the game, Miller said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
This year Miller is hitting .376, produced 25 RBIs and 7 home runs, scored 16 times and gotten on base at a .430 rate.
