Haley Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 John Haley was unstoppable, but his club, the Fireballs, was not unbeatable. Despite his hitting heroics they lost to the Astoria Argonauts 11-6. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Haley just shook his head after the game, saying to the BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins... not the most hits." John Haley singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. To date Haley has chalked up a .364 average with 2 home runs, driven in 9 runs and scored 2 times. |
