Fujita Raps Minneapolis for 5 Hits Sunday, April 7th, 2024 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Antioch's Masamichi Fujita had a very special day against the Freeze when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Antioch Coal Miners to a 15-2 win at The Ice Box. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Fujita said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Masamichi Fujita doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. Thus far this season Fujita has hit .296 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 2 times. |
