KSL's #1 Pitcher is Sapthotharan Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Ashwini Sapthotharan performed like a veteran on the hill for the Albuquerque Cacti and walked away with the Kade Stenson League Cy Young Award in the process. The 23-year-old Cacti star fashioned a 17-8 won-loss record in 2023 with a 3.80 ERA. In 194 innings of work and 32 starts, Sapthotharan struck out 172 while giving up 178 hits and 61 walks. He held opposing batters to a .242 average. Max Grant of the Indian Wells Aeropostales finished second in voting, while Yeong-suk Kim of the Coronado Phantoms finished third. |
