September's #1 Hurler Announced: Ortíz Sunday, October 1st, 2023 September's premier pitcher was Jorge Ortíz of Pasadena Bumblebees. He pulverized Blake Camden League hitters all month long and picked up the Pitcher of the Month award. The Bumblebees star hurler fashioned a 4-0 en route to the honor. He had 38 strikeouts in 34 innings and compiled a 2.38 ERA. Other clubs hit .206 against him. This season Ortíz has fanned 116 in 95.2 innings and collected a 5-9 record with a 5.93 ERA. |
