Rui Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, September 14th, 2023 Wang-fen Rui put on a hitting clinic today as the Horseman dumped the Unionists 9-3 at Horseman Field. The Amarillo center fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Winston pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Wang-fen Rui singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Rui is currently batting .273 with 15 home runs and 56 RBIs. In 120 games he has reached base at a .336 rate and scored 63 runs to date. |
