Fireballs Snap Lo's Streak at 22 Friday, April 28th, 2023 Pasadena third baseman Lao Lo experienced something against the Joplin Fireballs he hadn't experienced in his last 22 games: a hitless game. The Fireballs pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Bumblebees to a 3-1 victory at The Firepit. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak. Now you sportswriters will have to find someone else to bother for stories," Lo kiddingly told them after the game. This season Lo is hitting at a .419 pace with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 24 times. |
