Philadelphia Left Fielder Nets BCL Award Monday, April 17th, 2023 Tony Ward must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .433 clip, then the Philadelphia left fielder finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the BCL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Ward batted .433 (13-30) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. |
