Sánchez Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, April 7th, 2023 Diablos shortstop,Manny Sánchez, had his way with South Bay pitching today at Hell Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it was all in vain. The Arsenal ruined his great day by outscoring the Diablos 20-17. He told reporters after the game, "I had a great day, but you got to give South Bay credit, they did what they had to do to win the game. They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits after all is said and done. They did what they had to do -- win the game." The Arsenal skipper added, "Oh, I think we noticed what Sánchez did today. He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Manny Sánchez singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. |
