Watson of Reno Player of the Week Monday, August 15th, 2022 26-year-old Dave Watson made a few Reno headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .414 average. Watson collected 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Watson is hitting at a .274 mark this season. His stats show 29 home runs, 97 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has played 115 games for the Raiders. |
