Bad News for Acapulco, Gilbert Injured Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 Acapulco Banditos starting pitcher Mike Gilbert left yesterday's game against the Pasadena Bumblebees after suffering a ruptured disc throwing a pitch. Gilbert was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Gilbert is expected to miss 8 months. Checking out his stats for the season, Gilbert has registered 5 wins and 5 losses in 14 starts, 3.81 ERA and struck out 76 batters in 78 innings. |
