League KO's Banditos-Phantoms Players with 4-Game Suspensions Thursday, August 26th, 2021 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Banditos-Phantoms game at Underdogs Ballpark yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Acapulco's Gerard Washington and Coronado's Jim Unknown. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 4 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. Washington has collected 77 hits for the Banditos this year, 13 of them home runs. He has also netted 41 RBIs and scored 68 runs while batting .215. |
