5-5 Game for Bodin Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Mathieu Bodin of the Billings Mustangs had a sensational game against Albuquerque at Cobb Field. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark, but it didn't pay off in a victory. The Cacti took the game 6-2. In the postgame press conference Bodin joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me, and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, Skip?" His manager retorted half-smilingly, "Only if we win the game, son ... only if we win the ballgame. That's what they pay us to do, you know." Mathieu Bodin singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Bodin has 2 home runs and a .368 batting average. |
