BCL's Best Player, Greene of Billings Monday, June 21st, 2021 27-year-old Wilford Greene made a few Billings headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .478 average. Greene collected 5 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 8 runs. So far this season Greene is batting .296 with 20 home runs. |
