Estrada and Brown Suspended for Free-for-All Friday, June 11th, 2021 Yesterday at Bronx Ballpark Júlio Estrada and Dave Brown got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Bronx Bombers and Detroit Death Stars. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified both ballclubs that Estrada and Brown would be given 9-game suspensions for fighting. This season Estrada is hitting .256 with 10 hits, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs, scored 5 runs and played in 11 games. |
