Takahashi Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 Kawanari Takahashi of the Unionists was unstoppable in today's 9-5 victory over the Detroit Death Stars at Bulldog Stadium. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Winston center fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will." Kawanari Takahashi singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Takahashi is hitting .378 with 28 hits, 1 home run, 18 RBIs and has scored 16 runs. |
