Beavers Star Wins 2025 Cy Young Award Monday, November 17th, 2025 23-year-old Tanner Johnson of the Portland Beavers put together a good year in 2025 for such a young player. Johnson was named today as the winner of the Thurman Munson League Cy Young Award. Johnson crafted an impressive 21-6 record and a 2.47 ERA. In 225.2 innings he allowed 201 hits, struck out 208, and walked 49. Tomás Bravo of the Kansas City Tornadoes finished second in voting, while Matt Quinlan of the San Francisco Earthquakes finished third. |
