Republic Defeat Tornadoes Saturday, November 8th, 2025 A celebratory mood filled the air as the So Cal Republic closed out the season with a 9-0 victory over the Kansas City Tornadoes at House of the Republic to capture the ABL World Series, 4-2. It was a hard-fought series, but in the end there was no denying the team of destiny their rightful spot as ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE champions. "We felt like this was our year all season long," said Jong-min Kim Jr.. "It was our destiny to win it and we did." The Kansas City manager was somewhat dejected, but gave credit where it's due. "They're the champions and they deserve it. We played good ball, they just played better than us," he said. The Republic clubhouse was like a playground as teammates exchanged high five's, sang and shouted out their joy. It was the 3rd in franchise history. During the Roberto Clemente League Bobby Cox Division regular season So Cal put up a 114-48 record and finished first. |
