Kansas City Takes League Pennant Thursday, October 30th, 2025 The Kansas City Tornadoes are riding high after winning the League Pennant and eliminating the Portland Beavers by a series score of 4-2. The final blow came tonight at Waterfront Park, when Kansas City secured its spot in the ABL World Series with a 9-6 victory. "It feels good to put them away, we didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said Matt Winters, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Winters certainly helpd his team's cause, as he hit .480 with a .519 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 6 runs. The ABL World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Pennant finishes. |
