Gamblers Center Fielder Takahashi Injured Saturday, October 4th, 2025 The Las Vegas Gamblers were dealt a severe blow when Kawanari Takahashi was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Minnesota Berserkers. After the game, the team trainer reported Takahashi might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old center fielder out for the rest of the season with a sprained thumb. They indicated it would take Takahashi at least 6 weeks to heal. Takahashi is hitting .355 this season with 29 home runs, 106 RBIs and 117 runs scored. He has 189 hits in 532 at-bats. |
