McCarthy Rips Portland for 5 Hits Monday, September 22nd, 2025 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Kansas City's Todd McCarthy had a very special day against the Beavers when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Kansas City Tornadoes to a 16-3 win at Waterfront Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," McCarthy said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Todd McCarthy singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Presently McCarthy is batting .309 with 31 home runs and 94 RBIs. He has played in 147 games and scored 91 times. |
