Wrottesley Goes 5-for-5
Sunday, September 21st, 2025
On top of the Manhattan Beach hit parade today was Henry Wrottesley. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Patriots to a 10-3 victory over the Havana Stogies. The sweet swinging left fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Stogies wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Henry Wrottesley hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Yeijiro Ishihara in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Wrottesley is currently batting .331 with 15 home runs and 57 RBIs.
