Murillo's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games
Monday, September 8th, 2025
The Jesters won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on right fielder Fernando Murillo extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 1-for-3 in the game.
"Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Fernando extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Jersey manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate."
For the record, the Jesters defeated the South Carolina Bombers 3-2 at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Fernando Murillo struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd and grounded out in the 5th.
So far this year Murillo has 19 home runs and a .288 batting average.
