League Gives Yamamoto and Berry 3-Game Suspensions Sunday, September 7th, 2025 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . A free-for-all broke out when Katsuhiko Yamamoto of Las Vegas and Brian Berry of Montreal rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 3 games. Yamamoto is hitting .281 this year with 23 home runs and 73 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .331, 23 walks and scored 53 times. This year Berry has collected 3 saves in 20 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 6-7 won-lost mark with a 5.73 ERA and fanned 92 batters in 121 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .294 clip in 2025. |
