Week's #1 Player Honored by TML Monday, September 1st, 2025 27-year-old Edgardo Gómez made a few Jersey headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Thurman Munson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .600 average. Gómez collected 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 10 runs. So far this season Gómez is hitting .314 with 12 home runs, 42 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has 118 hits in 376 at-bats and a .355 OBP. |
