Smith Blisters Maple Friday, August 29th, 2025 Dan Smith put on a hitting clinic today as the Bandits dumped the Marauders 12-5 at Labatt Bleue Park. The Montreal first baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Maple pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Dan Smith singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Coco Yamashita in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Smith on the season is hitting .303 with 15 home runs. His stats include 66 RBIs and 51 runs scored. |
