Gilberto Jiménez Suffers Injury Friday, August 29th, 2025 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Gilberto Jiménez of the Mafia knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Georgia Grays while making a defensive play. Because of shoulder tendinitis, the New York right fielder is expected to miss 5 weeks. Jiménez was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." Thus far this season Jiménez has hit .341 with 23 home runs, 81 RBIs and scored 84 times. |
