Kessler Belts 5 Hits Thursday, August 21st, 2025 Ed Kessler really sizzled at the plate in today's 21-8 win over Mafia. The Jacksonville first baseman blistered New York for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Kessler was too tough to get out today," the Mafia skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Ed Kessler hit a solo-shot off Brad Lyons in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Terumoto Yamamoto in the 9th. This season in 63 games Kessler is batting .300 with 11 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 32 times. |
