Career-Ending Injury for Maxwell Friday, August 1st, 2025 A severe injury sustained in yesterday's contest against New York at Don Corleone Park has cut short the baseball career of Woodrow Maxwell at the age of 29. Team officials reported that the Havana designated hitter was injured colliding with a player at a base and suffered a concussion that will end his career. Thus far this season in 81 games Maxwell is batting .301 with 17 home runs, 39 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 86 hits in 286 at-bats. |
