Brooklyn Closer Out Thursday, July 10th, 2025 The Brooklyn Black Knights will have to make do without Phil Bernard for 8 months. He suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Manhattan Beach Patriots. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the closer. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." This season Bernard has earned 0 saves, made 29 relief appearances, fanned 23 hitters in 14.2 innings and posted an ERA of 2.45 and a 0-0 record. |
