Bandits-Armada Deal: Cook for Segura Monday, June 23rd, 2025 BNN has learned the Montreal Bandits have reportedly worked out a deal with the Quebec Armada. Sources close to the Bandits indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 30-year-old LHP Lou Latulippe, 29-year-old C Júlio Segura, 25-year-old RHP Marcos León, 30-year-old 1B Dan Smith and 31-year-old 2B Ray Clark will be swapped to Montreal with 33-year-old 1B John Cook, 19-year-old minor league RHP Julien Caron, 24-year-old C Elián Aguilar, 28-year-old SS Júlio Rivera and 25-year-old minor league 1B Ennio Duccio heading to Quebec. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. This season in 47 games, Cook has hit at a .248 clip with 35 hits, 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and 18 runs scored. This season Segura is batting at a .283 clip with 6 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
